Croston Cycling Club (Croston Velo) are a relatively new club formed in 2014 by a group of friends who cycled leisurely from Croston and started to invite others. We serve the whole local area including the villages Mawdesley, Parbold, Eccleston and Rufford. If you like cycling why not come along and see what we are all about.
We are generally a social cycling club but a few of our members take part in Time Trialling and Road racing and we are affiliated to the Club Time Trailing association and British Cycling.
Membership
Croston Cycling Club (Croston Velo) runs an annual membership. The membership fee is £20 for the full year, running from April to April. There is an optional additional membership to Croston Sports Club of £15 per individual or £28 per couple for the full year, which runs from September to September. Croston Sports Club members then have the advantage of discounted drinks at the club and other discounted events.
Meetings
The Croston Velo committee meet on a bi-monthly basis dependant on availability. At the meeting we will discuss all general club matters and plans. Club meeting dates will be confirmed with a minimum of 14 days written notice and members will be notified via a post on website, facebook page, twitter and Strava.
Our Rides
Croston Cycling Club (Croston Velo) have a club ride to suit all abilities. All our rides start and finish at Croston Sports Club. Details of all our rides can be found on the on the club rides section of this website (under about us) and details are also included in the events calendar. For the Thursday and Sunday club rides we will endeavour to publish the routes beforehand, this will be done on the events calendar section of the website (as well as via facebook, twitter and the Strava club).
